When we see the specifications for a position, we understand the language. When we see resumes, we can identify strengths and weaknesses on the technical level and the career path level.
SPECIALIZATION We do not accept searches outside our areas of expertise. By doing this, we don't waste your time and we maximize our efforts to complete searches in a timely manner.
SCREENING EMPLOYERS Most of our clients rank in the Fortune 1000 of companies and our smaller client companies have reputations for stability and growth. After 32 years in the business, we know the danger signs of questionable companies. We don't work with them. The last thing we want to do is place a good engineer in a doubtful situation.
VERIFYING GOOD ENGINEERS Some resumes turn out to be part fiction. When you know the right questions to ask you can see through smoke screens. And with our longstanding national network of contacts we pride ourselves on thorough reference checks.
CONTINUAL DATABASE UPDATING We average 40 research and recruiting calls a day and update our computer files daily. Our files contain nearly 5,000 resumes and another 6,000 employee profiles, in addition to over 17,000 employer officers, human resources directors, and department heads. Through phone calls, personal referrals, advertising and our mailing program we receive 40 to 60 new resumes every week. This multi-sourcing and original research provides us and our clients with hundreds of superior candidates not on file with any other search firm.
ADVERTISING IN TOUGH TIMES Some search firms drop out of trade press advertising when the economy is slow. We maintain our advertising schedule to supplement our personal research. The fact is, in tough times there are often highly qualified and experienced engineers available precisely because of a slow economy. On-going advertising combined with our other activities help us uncover many excellent candidates who haven't considered a job change in years. In many cases, Meta-Find has an exclusive on the availability of these exceptional engineers.
UNCOMPROMISING CONFIDENTIALITY When an employer has to do a major reorganization or make sensitive replacements, premature disclosure can demoralize a department, disrupt productivity, and sometimes cause valued employees to leave.
